Who We Are

Tim Fergestad

PRINCIPAL

Tim Fergestad is the Founder and Principal of Oak Street Assets, where he helps investors access professionally managed private real estate opportunities.

Tim’s real estate experience spans brokerage, land wholesaling, remodeling, single-family rentals, multifamily investing, and active asset ownership. His portfolio includes both active and passive investments across multiple U.S. markets.

Before transitioning full-time into real estate, Tim earned a Ph.D. in Neuroscience and conducted research in the Genetics Department at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. That scientific background shaped his approach to investing: disciplined analysis, careful risk assessment, and a bias toward durable, evidence-based strategies.

Tim and his wife understand firsthand that successful professionals, especially those in medicine and demanding careers, often have the income to build wealth but limited time to source, vet, and manage investments. That experience led Tim to focus on private real estate as a practical path for creating passive income, long-term wealth, tax advantages, and greater financial freedom.

Outside of business, Tim is a husband and father who values family, community, and helping others make better decisions with their time.
